Spring Banquet 2008
Start your 2008 Trout Season with great food, fun and a chance at thousands of dollars in fly gear and prizes!
The 2008 Miller VanWinkle TU Chapter Spring Banquet will be held at Stafford’s Bay View Inn on Thursday May 8, 2008.
Sip a cocktail and troll through the raffle stations beginning at 6:15 pm followed by dinner at 7:15 with raffle drawings, games, and auctions to follow.
Banquet Ticket prices will remain at $35 for a single ticket or two for $65.
This vital fundraiser enables our stream restoration, environmental advocacy and youth education programs and we need your support!
In addition to the enticing selection of fly gear and prizes available in our drawings and bucket raffles, the Grand Raffle prize this year will be a $1,000 Gift Card for Cabela’s ‘The World’s Foremost Outfitter.’
Grand Raffle tickets will be $10.00 each with a maximum of 250 tickets printed!

Youth Fishing Expo
A fundamental goal of Trout Unlimited is the continued stewardship of our coldwater resources.
By teaching our children and grandchildren to cherish our lakes and rivers as we do, we help ensure that future generations experience the quiet solitude of moving water and the thrill of leaping trout.
To this end, The Miller VanWinkle Chapter, in conjunction with the Department of Natural Resources Oden Fish Hatchery, will be hosting the third annual Youth Fishing Expo at the Oden Hatchery on Saturday May 3, 2008.
Stations will include fly tying, stream entomology, casting, knot tying, big water fishing, tackle rigging, live bait presentation, and stream/lake ethics and laws.
Let’s not forget the final fishing station where our young participants test their newly honed skills against 6-12lb. Brown Trout in the hatchery’s fishing pond!
This Youth Fishing Expo has been a tremendous success the last two years, bringing enthusiastic families from all over Antrim, Charlevoix and Emmett counties.
